Analysis of fan vibrations
Since a fan has a rotating component it is crucial to control the vibrations caused by resonance and other factors. Furthermore, we must control the vibration of the fan in the applied position at various points.
The ISO 14694 standard indicates a maximum overall value of 4,5 mm/s. If the measured value exceeds this value the cause must be determined and the design must be changed. Our equipment enables us to see the entire spectrum of vibration frequencies and allows us to determine the causes.
In addition to measuring the vibrations of the fan, we also place strain gauges at various points on the fan, including the blades of the impeller. This is to determine vibrations and stresses.
